IT’S POKÉMON GO ON DAYDREAM!

Daydream Island is proving to be quite the playground for Pokémon Go fans with two Gyms providing ample opportunity for players of this latest internet app gaming craze to locate Pokémon – or pocket monsters — modelled primarily on insects.

Daydream is a good location for Pokémon hunting as it’s safer than playing on the mainland, with no cars, and an interesting landscape for game play. There are at least 10 Pokéstops for collecting various items in your Pokémon-catching quest.

Everyone’s favourite character Pikachu has also been sited on Daydream Island.

Guests are enjoying hunting for the popular characters amongst the well-known sights of Daydream including our signature mermaids and rainforest walk.

So if you’re hunting for Rattata, Weedle, Zubat, Pidgey or Krabby, then Daydream might just be the perfect Pokémon hunting ground.

There’s no other island quite like Daydream, on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. With a fringing reef a mere flipper’s kick from the beach and a Living Reef on the island itself, it’s an incredible place to not only live and learn about one of the world’s greatest natural wonders, but to experience it first hand.
