Holidays With Kids names Daydream one of Australia’s Top 10 Resorts
Daydream Island Resort and Spa has again been named as one of Australia’s most popular family friendly holiday destinations.
National travel magazine Holidays for Kids has named it one of Australia’s Top 10 Resorts for 2016 in its annual Readers Choice Top 10 Awards.
The popular resort was placed third in the ‘Australia Over 4 Stars’ category.
The awards invite readers to vote for the best family-friendly holiday they’ve encountered, and to rank their nomination on categories including activities and facilities for kids, staff hospitality, standard of accommodation, location, accessibility, safety, fun for the entire family, value for money and overall experience.
Last year, Daydream Island Resort and Spa was also awarded a Top Ten place in the Australia, Over 4 Stars’ category of the awards with sixth place.
Daydream Island Resort and Spa general manager Dawson Tang said the award was validation for the range of activities and experiences on offer at Daydream.
“Our amazing location on the Great Barrier Reef continues to provide a range of great experiences that appeal to families,” Mr Tang said.
“Daydream is the ideal place to explore the amazing Whitsunday Islands and The Great Barrier Reef. Our iconic Living Reef lagoons provide an interactive on-island reef experience that continues to delight.”
Daydream Island Resort and Spa is located in Queensland’s tropical Whitsundays in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, only a 30-minute boat ride from Great Barrier Reef Airport (HTI) and a 30-minute ferry ride from Airlie Beach.
The mutli award-winning resort features 296 rooms and suites, a great selection of dining experiences, bars and lagoon swimming pools.
Daydream Island Resort and Spa is home to one of the world’s largest man-made coral reef lagoons known as The Living Reef. Guests can feed a variety of marine animals, walk among curious baby stingrays, hold a sea star and learn about the marine eco-system from Daydream’s resident marine biologists.
