Daydream Island Resort is currently closed & undergoing an extensive $86m refurbishment, in the wake of Tropical Cyclone Debbie that caused significant damage to the region in March 2017.

The refurbishments will see upgraded accommodation rooms, refurbished event spaces, instillation of new features & upgrades of existing attractions. We are excited to advise that the resort will reopen in September 2018. Keep updated with the progression of this refurbishment here.  We also invite you to follow us on social media to see the progress as it happens.

Daydream Island will not be confirming any wedding related events to be held on the island until 2019. This is to ensure that there are no unforeseen delays or interruptions to your special day & that the island is fully operational to offer you the best possible wedding experience.

While we continue to refurbish the island, we are also working through new & improved wedding, elopement & honeymoon packages that we anticipate will be finalised toward the middle of 2018. Updated images of our ceremony & reception locations will be provided as soon as we are able.

Whether you are looking at a small intimate wedding experience or a larger scale event, Daydream Island can cater for weddings from 2 to 250 guests. We look forward to receiving your wedding enquiry & discussing your requirements.

There’s no other island quite like Daydream, on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. With a fringing reef a mere flipper’s kick from the beach and a Living Reef on the island itself, it’s an incredible place to not only live and learn about one of the world’s greatest natural wonders, but to experience it first hand.
