Flights from Sydney to Daydream Island

You have plenty of options when it comes to flying from Sydney to Daydream Island.

You have plenty of options when flying from Adelaide to Daydream Island. Whitsunday Coast Airport (Proserpine) and Hamilton Island are the primary gateways to our resort, both well-serviced by major airlines such as Qantas, Virgin Australia, and Jetstar.

Jetstar offers a direct flight from Adelaide to Whitsunday Coast Airport, with a travel time of just 2 hours and 50 minutes. Flight prices starting at $500. Upon arrival at Whitsunday Coast Airport, a number of transfer buses are available to take you directly to Airlie Beach. From there, the Cruise Whitsundays ferry service operates regularly, offering a comfortable ride to Daydream Island for $40-65.

Alternatively, you can fly to Hamilton Island, However, please note that there are currently no direct flights from Adelaide to Hamilton Island. Flight prices start from $500 , making it easy to find budget-friendly options that fit into your holiday plans. Once you arrive, the reliable and comfortable ferry service operated by Cruise Whitsundays connects Hamilton Island directly to Daydream Island. As you sail, you can relax and enjoy the stunning views of the Whitsunday Islands, making your journey a scenic and enjoyable part of your travel experience.

Flight times and durations

Adelaide to Whitsunday Coast Airport: A direct flight takes 2 hours and 50 minutes 

Adelaide to Hamilton Island: Options include either one or two stop overs depending on your travel dates. The quickest travel time is one stop in Sydney, Which is 5 hours and 10 minutes.

Exploring Daydream Island

Exploring Daydream Island on foot is also popular, our rainforest walk takes you on an adventure to the other side of the island passing by an incredible viewpoint of the surrounding islands.
