A list of Popular Holiday Destinations to Visit in 2022 in Queensland
Queensland has done an outstanding job of ensuring that as many people as possible are safe throughout the COVID19 outbreak. Therefore, beginning in 2020, this state will be one of the safest vacation spots anywhere in the world. It is also close to several amazing travel attractions, including some on the list of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites. When travel to Queensland is possible again, consider visiting these spots. Not all the amazing Queensland holiday destinations you can visit in 2022 are included here, but it's a start (and they're all places I've been to).
My first stop is Cairns, where I have spent the time since 2007. Cairns are an essential stop for any tourist visiting Queensland or Australia because it is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and the oldest tropical rainforest on Earth. As a result of the COVID19 restrictions, many people in Cairns lost their jobs or their ability to conduct their tourism or hospitality enterprises. Make plans to visit Cairns in 2022, when incredible discounts and low-cost flights are becoming increasingly available.
Island of Moreton Bay
Day trips from Brisbane often include a visit to Moreton Bay Island, which is only a ferry ride away. In fact, on a clear day, you can make out the skyscrapers of Brisbane, Australia. Sand tobogganing down the dunes and swimming amid the Tangalooma Wrecks are two popular activities.
If you're planning a Queensland holiday destination in 2022, you should put a visit to Outback Queensland at the top of your to-do list. The desolate outback was once a part of the Great Barrier Reef, and you can visit caves that have been here for millions of years, less than three hours from Cairns.
The Gold Coast is a popular tourist attraction near the state's southern tip. The Gold Coast is well-known for its many attractions, from its lively city life and nightclubs to its stunning beaches, beach walks, and lovely hinterland and waterfalls. In the end, it's up to you to decide.
It's not just tourists who go to the Gold Coast; locals of Brisbane frequently take day trips to the area as well. To learn more about visiting this stunning Gold Coast hinterland waterfall, check out Purling Brook Falls on the Gold Coast: Getting There.
The Whitsunday Islands, a tropical paradise located roughly in the middle of Queensland's coast, are an absolute must for any traveller to the state in 2022. Leaving from Airlie Beach, you may sail out to the various Whitsunday Islands. Flying over breathtaking spots like Heart Reef and Hills Inlet is another great way to get a bird's-eye view of this incredible region.
Ingham, a little town on the coast between Cairns and Townsville, is a hidden treasure in Queensland. Despite its modest size, Ingham is home to Wallaman Falls, Australia's highest single-drop permanent waterfall. Those interested in viewing the waterfall can do so from an elevated observation point or, as I would advise, by descending to the foot of the falls and listening to the roar from below.
Now you have a list of Queensland holiday destinations to enjoy your vacations. So, why are you waiting so long? Plan your trip with your loved one and make some memorable moments!
